Hyderabad, June 3 (NSS): TDP Chief Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu has made it clear that there would be no going back on his party’s decision on  no-confidence motion against the government.

Speaking to the media at his residence here on Friday, he has demanded that there should be a full-fledged debate on the motion. He said the government has miserably failed in ensuring  payment of  remunerative price for the agriculture produce, in purchasing the grain soaked in rain and solving other problems of the farmers. He has reminded that the party had decided in the Mahanadu itself to move a no-confidence motion against the ‘incompetent and corrupt’ rule of the Congress government.

Stating that his party has served notice for the motion on the grounds of farmers’ problems, the woes of the poor, cuts in the welfare schemes and growing corruption, he said if there were any technical lacunae in the party’s notice, another notice would be given to the Speaker one hour before the start of the session. He said that according to the rules, debate should be held within ten days of the serving of the notice.

Mr. Naidu has also said that his party has decided to field candidates for the posts of Speaker and the Deputy Speaker as the ‘ruling party had lost the confidence of the people.’ He said his party was of the view that it should not cooperate with the government under any circumstances. He has announced that Mr. K E Krishna Murty was being put up for the Speaker’s post and Mr. Suddala Devaiah for the Deputy Speaker’s post. He said that Mr. Krishna Murty has vast experience as a political leader since 1977 and a leader of the weaker sections. Suddala Devaiah was elected to the assembly for three terms and had also served as the ZP Chairman, Mr. Naidu added. Maintaining that the government was rejected by all the sections of people, he has appealed to all parties to cooperate with the TDP.

Indirectly referring to the challenge of Mr. Jagan that his party would dislodge the government, Mr. Naidu has said his true nature and capability would be known soon. “It is only the TDP which has been waging an uncompromised battle with the Congress. If Congress is a poisonous tree, the YSR Congress is nothing but its branch” Mr. Naidu said. He said his party had made its stand that it was for the central government to take a decision on Telangana and the same was stated in the Mahanadu also. He has alleged that some newspapers have twisted his statement and called such journalism ‘Black Journalism.’

Mr. K E Krishna Murty has said that his party had not backtracked on its word that a no-confidence motion would be moved against the government. Referring to the call by some parties (YSR Congress) to the MLAs to vote as per their conscience on the no-trust motion, he said they should also vote in the same way for the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker elections. He has said that he was elected to the assembly five times and had good understanding of the people’s problems.

Mr.  Devaiah has alleged that the Congress government was totally anti-farmer. Stating that the government was working against the interests of the farming community, he said it had also failed in solving the problems of all other sections. He has appealed to all parties to cooperate with the TDP in its fight against the government.

Mr. Dadi Veerabhadra Rao, leader of the opposition in the Legislative Council, Mr. Ramesh Rathod, Mr. M V Mysoora Reddy, Mr. Yerrabelli Dayakara Rao, Mr. Thummala Nageswara Rao, Mr. Revuri Prakasa Reddy, Mr.Gangula Kamalakar, Mr. Devender Goud, Mr. Narender Kumar, Mr. Payyavula Keshav, Mr. Kadiyam Srihari, Ms. A Annapurnamma, Ms. Satyavathi Rathod and others participated in the press conference.
