KCR TAKES CHIDAMBARAM STATEMENT LIGHTLY

The TRS chief has said he was not attaching any significance to the fresh statement of the Union
Home Minister, Mr Chidambaram, on Telangana. On the minister’s statement that the situation has not
gone out of hands, Mr Rao said the Congress MLAs and MPs had resigned only because the situation
had slipped out of their hands.
Demanding that the Centre should stick to its December 9 announcement, he said the JAC
would take several key decisions to intensify the stir soon. Stating that the people of Telangana had
observed restraint so far, he warned that when they lose their patience, Telangana would turn into an
inferno.
He has warned the Seemandhra leaders to refrain from ‘bringing split among the people of
Telangana.’ He said if they persist, the 1969 situation would recur.

Meanwhile, TRS senior leader Mr. Harish Rao has said that minister Mr. jana Reddy going to
New Delhi separately is giving raise to doubts. He said those who had resigned should ensure that their
resignations were accepted forthwith. (NSS)
