While HMR Manaing Director N V S Reddy was speaking, the TRS activists and Sultan Bazaar vendors barged into the hall shouting slogans like “Jai Telangana”. Mr Reddy tried to convince the Telangana activists and requested to pay heed to his words also. He also raised the slogan of “Jai Telangana’ on the insistence of TRS activists. He said the HMR would benefit the city people very much as well as helpful in development of the city. He also claimed that he has good relations with Hyderabad. He made it clear that they were ready to clear all doubts and apprehensions of the people on the project.

The TRS activists made it clear that they were not against the HMR project, but the route of the project should be changed to avoid loss to the people, small businessmen and damage to historical constructions. They also questioned the HMR Managing Director why the government had not conducted all-party meeting on HMR project. The TRS activists did not allow the continuation of the seminar.
