Mahabubnagar, July 22 (NSS): Water is being discharged from the Jurala project as there are heavy inflow from the upper reaches. 12 crest gates of the project have been raised, releasing 72 cusecs of water down stream. Three units of the power project have also started generation.
Project authorities have said that the inflow was around 1.20 lakh cusecs.
The Narayanapur reservoir has reached Full Reservoir Level (FRL) because of the heavy rains in the upper reaches and water from there is reaching Jurala. Water level in Jurala has reached 316.2 metres against the FRL of 318.5 metres.
They have raised 18 gates of the Alamatti reservoir have been raised, releasing 1.85 lakh cusecs of water and 15 gates of Narayanapur were raised, releasing 90650 cusecs. (NSS)
