Hyderabad, July 31 (NSS): The 300-bedded, upscale, multi super specialty hospital — KIMS is now NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals) accredited.
Disclosing this in a pressnote issued today, Dr B. Bhaskar Rao, Managing Director, CEO and Cardiothoracic Surgeon of KIMS Hospital, informed that they just received the communication confirming it the accreditation.
The KIMS is one of the 98 hospitals out of hundreds and thousands hospitals in the country to have NABH accreditation. And it is the eighth hospital in the State to get the accreditation. The accreditation is granted for three years after which its standards will be reviewed.
The benefits of accreditation are manifold. Patients are the biggest beneficiary among all the stakeholders. Accreditation results in high quality of care and patient safety. The patients are serviced by credential medical staff. Rights of patients are respected and protected. Patient’s satisfaction is regularly evaluated. It also helps hospitals to stimulate continuous improvement. And enables them demonstrate commitment to quality care. Accreditation also provides an objective system of empanelment by insurance and other third parties.
