Hyderabad, Aug. 4 (NSS): The Chief Minister Mr N.Kiran Kumar Reddy has asked the Chief Secretary to Government Mr S.V.Prasad and other concerned officials to work out the funds to be earmarked for SC/ST Sub-plan and necessary action plan for its effective implementation.
While reviewing with the CMO officials, the Chief Minister directed to furnish the details of the budget allocations, the amounts spent during last three years under SCSP and TSP and the funds required for the coming 5 to 10 years. The Officials informed that the proposed Rs.1600 crore “Indira Jalaprabha” programme is designed to benefit 100% SC, ST beneficiaries. The Officials also informed that the Fee reimbursement, Scholarships, enhancement of Income etc. are being implemented in its true spirit, with a high proportion of SC and ST beneficiaries.
The Chief Minister has also asked the officials to review the lending programme to the SC/ST enterprenuers and ensure proper implementation. He has directed to take steps to strengthen the nodal agency concerned and pooling the SCSP/TSP funds with funds of the departments concerned. Action may also be taken to fill up the SC/ST back-log vacancies, the Chief Minister asked.
The Chief Minister has also directed to take up the irrigation projects in the Sub-plan areas on top priority basis including Siripuram Lift Irrigation Scheme in Madhira Constituency in Khammam district. (NSS)
