Hyderabad: The Jagan juggernaut has finally fallen apart. The Andhra Pradesh High Court has directed the CBI to undertake a detailed investigation into the YSR Congress chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s properties and the alleged irregularities by the EMAR Properties. It may be recalled that Minister Sankara Rao, advocate Sherwani and TDP leaders Yerrannaidu, Vamsi and others have written letters on these issues to the High Court. The court has treated these submissions as petitions and ordered the CBI to conduct a preliminary investigation into Jagan’s properties and the alleged irregularities of EMAR Properties. The CBI has conducted a preliminary investigation and submitted its report to the High Court. After considering the report, the High Court has ordered for the full-fledged investigation. The High Court has directed the CBI to conduct investigation into the alleged irregularities by the EMAR Properties. The court has said that there was prima facie evidence that the EMAR Properties had indulged in irregularities. Stating that the company had indulged in several violations, the court has directed the investigating agency to register criminal cases. The High Court has expressed anger on the government and APIIC for failing to protect government lands. It has also remarked that the government had remained a silent spectator to irregularities.
