Hyderabad, Aug.16 (NSS): The Congress senior leader and former minister, Mr J C Diwakar Reddy, has said that if the Kadapa MP and YSR Congress president, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, rejoined Congress he would be cleansed.
Talking to the media here on Tuesday, Mr Reddy said all the allegations he was facing would be washed away. He also said that rejoining the Congress party would be home-coming for Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy.
When mediapersons mentioned about the allegations against Mr Jagan, Mr Diwakar Reddy said that they would all be washed away if he rejoined the Congress. (NSS)
YSR CONGRESS CONDEMNS ARREST OF ANNA HAZARE
Hyderabad, Aug.16 (NSS): The YSR Congress party official spokesperson, Mr Jupudi Prabhakara Rao, has condemned the arrest of veteran social activist Anna Hazare in New Delhi on Tuesday.
Talking to the media at the party office, Mr Jupudi said Congress party would push any one however big they may be into the jail who opposed it. He said his party was extending support to Anna Hazare.
Referring to the TDP chief, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu’s remarks on corruption, Mr Prabhakara Rao has said that he had no moral right to talk about corruption. He said Mr Chandrababu was following a dual policy by supporting the Congress on some issues and opposing on others. He urged the people to understand the dual standards of the TDP.
Mr Prabhakara Rao said that four MPs were in jail and 150 MPs were facing corruption charges in the country. In such a situation, it was improper to arrest those who were fighting for eradication of corruption and Jan Lok Pal Bill. He said the arrest of Hazare and others has reminded the black days of Emergency. He said though the Prime Minister was appearing to be above corruption, he has however to share the blame as the entire Central government became corrupt. In such a situation, it was imperative to bring the Prime Minister also under the purview of Lok Pal, he added. (NSS)
NO ONE WANTS A SON LIKE JAGAN: ANAM
Hyderabad, Aug.16 (NSS): State Finance Minister Mr. Anam Rama Narayana Reddy has commented that no one would want a son like the Kadapa MP and former Chief Minister Dr. Y S Rajasekhara Reddy’s son Mr. Jaganmohana Reddy.
Talking to newsmen here on Tuesday, he said Mr. Jagan was making improper comments as he was unable to face CBI enquiry. His statements were causing derogation to the late Chief Minister Dr. Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, Mr. Anam commented.
Mr. Anam said as Mr. Jagan was stating that there were no irregular investments in his companies, he should cooperate with the CBI in its enquiry. He has expressed the hope that all the ministers would attend the Cabinet meeting.
Mr. Anam has commented that the victory of Congress in 2004 was because of the combined effort of every one and asserted that it was not because of any single individual. Replying to questions, he said if there were any irregularities during the regime of YSR, the concerned minister also would be responsible. No other minister would be responsible, he has maintained. Replying to questions, he said if Mr. Jagan returned to Congress, he would be cleansed. On the question of Jagan going to the Supreme Court the finance minister has said that he had that right. (NSS)
