CM LOST PEOPLE’S CONFIDENCE: JUPUDI
Hyderabad, Sept. 22 (NSS): The YSR Congress leader and MLC, Mr Jupudi Prabhakara Rao, has said
that the Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, has lost the confidence of the people. He said this
was the reason why he was announcing spicy new schemes.
In a statement here on Thursday, Mr Prabhakara Rao has said that Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy was
resorting to all kinds of gimmicks to prove that he was the real Chief Minister.
Mr Jupudi has ridiculed the Chief Minister for claiming that he was the real brain behind all
the welfare schemes and it was at his behest that late YSR had implemented those schemes. He said
that Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy was now burning with the desire to get more popularity than YSR who
won the hearts of the people through his Rs 2-a-kg rice scheme and this was the reason why he had
announced the Re 1-a-kg rice scheme. (NSS)

Hyderabad, Sept. 22 (NSS): The Congress MP, Mr Ponnam Prabhakar, has sarcastically said that if the
Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, revealed the secret of his lobbying in New Delhi, through
which he got the CM post, they would follow the same technique to achieve Telangana.
The Telangana Congress leaders, including Mr Ponnam Prabhakar, Mr Gutta Sukhender Reddy
and others met at the residence of the MP, Mr Komatireddy Rajagopal, on Wednesday night and
discussed about their future course of action in the Telangana movement.
Talking to the media later, Mr Ponnam flayed the remarks of the Chief Minister. He said if he
told them how to do lobbying, they would get Telangana through that method. Mr Ponnam and Mr
Gutta have exuded confidence that the Centre would certainly concede Telangana.
Meanwhile, when Mr Rajagopal Reddy has gone to express solidarity with the Sakala Janula
Samme at Ibrahimpatnam, the JAC leaders did not allow him to speak. They shouted ‘Rajagopal Reddy
– go back.’ His attempts to go on to the dais and speak were foiled. (NSS)

Hyderabad, Sept. 12 (NSS): The Telugu Desam party supremo, Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu, here on Monday said that the party doors are wide open if the party founder’s son and actor, Mr Nandamuri Balakrishna, wants to enter active politics.

Speaking to mediapersons, Mr Naidu said it will be good for the party if Mr Balakrishna takes a plunge into active politics and he would welcome him warmly. Stating that Mr Balakrishna’s entry into politics was not new, Mr Naidu pointed out that the actor had canvassed for the party during previous elections. “If Mr Balakrishna enters active politics, the party would decide how and where to utilise his services for the benefit of the party,” he added.

Accusing the Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, of telling “stories” on providing employment to the youths, the former chief minister said that industrialists were “running away” on account of corruption blow. Mr Naidu also accused the Congress government with badly neglecting the farming community in the State. He also alleged that the helpless farmers had opted to announce crop holiday in about three lakh acres due to utter negligence by the government.

Complaining that tenant farmers were not getting crop loans in spite of distribution of loan cards to them, the former chief minister said that the farmers have come to a conclusion that farming has become a dead weight under present circumstances. He also alleged that majority of farmers were groaning under indebtedness due to the anti-farmer policies of the State and Union governments.

Declaring that the Telugu Desam party would stand by the distressed farmers at this critical juncture, the former chief minister said that his party would launch stage dharnas, agitations and signature campaign in support of farmers.

Hyderabad, Sept 5 (NSS): TDP chief Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu while welcoming the arrest of the Karnataka former minister Mr. Gali Janardana Reddy by the CBI has alleged that the YSR Congress chief Mr. Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was also involved in his irregularities.
Talking to the media here on Monday, he said every one who commits irregularities would have to undergo punishment. He has claimed that his party had relentlessly fought against illegal mining of Mr. Janardhana Reddy and brought out books also about his irregularities. He said so far the central and state governments had exhibited a negligent attitude towards their allegations.
Alleging that Mr. Jagan had amassed wealth misusing the power his late father, he said he was also involved in the illegal activities of Janardana Reddy. He said by giving away government lands and mining leases, Mr. Jagan Reddy got investments in Sakshi daily and TV channels.
First victory to TDP: Keshav
Talking separately to the media, TDP senior leader Mr. Payyavula Keshav has claimed that the arrest of Janardana Reddy was a first victory for his party which he said has been waging a war against the mining mafia.
He has reminded the media that his party has been fighting against the illegal activities of Janardana Reddy since long. He has called upon the state government to give full report on the mining activities to the CBI and cooperate with the investigating agency. He has alleged that Mr. Jagan has gone to Delhi to become closer to BJP and there by get protection of the opposition party for his illegal activities.

New Delhi: TDP Parliamentary Party leader Mr. Nama Nageswara Rao has also alleged that Mr. Jagan had close links with the mining mafia.
Talking to the media at New Delhi, he has demanded confiscation of the assets of Janardana Reddy. He has reminded that his party had been fighting against the mining mafia in the Parliament. (NSS)

Hyderabad, Sept.2 (NSS): The APCC general secretary, Mr Rapolu Ananda Bhaskar, has stated that a
public meeting will be held at the Ramakrishna Beach in Visakhapatnam on September 18 at 3 pm.
In a pressnote here today, Mr Ananda Bhaskar stated that the PCC president, Mr Botcha
Satyanarayana, will preside over the meeting, while the senior party leader, Dr Konidela Chiranjeevi,
will be the chief guest. Ministers, MPs, party legislators of the North Coastal districts will be guests of
honour.
He stated that the PCC chief has advised presidents of all the DCCs, CCCs and party
functionaries of the North Coastal districts to evince interest in organizing the meeting smoothly. (NSS)

Hyderabad, Sept.2 (NSS): The YSR Congress Party leader and MP from Nellore district, Mr Mekapati
Rajamohan Reddy, on Friday asserted that the number of legislators and MPs, who owed allegiance to
his party chief and Kadapa MP, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, would increase further in the near future.
He also said that those who defected to Mr Jagan’s party would not go away under any circumstances.
Speaking to mediapersons here, Mr Rajamohan Reddy said that he cannot guess how many
more legislators would join the YSR Congress Party at the moment. But the strength of the party would
go up further, he added. Stating that the people in the State would not tolerate if any person spoke ill of
late Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, Mr Mekapati said that the people were keenly observing the utterances
of the PCC president, Mr Botcha Satyanarayana. He also declared that the goal of the Jagan party was
to bury the ruling Congress party in the State.
Alleging that the Congress leaders have instigated the Central Bureau of Investigation to inquire
into the assets of Mr Jagan Mohan as they were not able to oppose him politically, Mr Mekapati said
the conspiracies and strategies of the ruling party would not succeed. He also claimed that many
legislators were not coming out as the Congress has three more years to rule the State.
Meanwhile, a blood donation camp was organized in the YSR Congress Party headquarters on
Friday on the occasion of the second death anniversary of late YSR. The camp was started by Mr
Mekapati, the Allagadda MLA, Ms Shobha Nagi Reddy and Mr Konathala Ramakrishna. (NSS)

Hyderabad, Sept.2 (NSS): The Communist Party of India State secretary, Dr K. Narayana, has asked
the farmers to raid fertilizer godowns and take away stocks as they were not able to get fertilizers all
over the State.
Speaking to mediapersons at State party headquarters, “Makdhom Bhavan” here on Friday, Dr
Narayana said the government has miserably failed to provide adequate quantity of fertilizers to the
farmers in the State. He also criticized the State government for its failure to curb black-marketers who

The CPI leader also alleged that the negligence of the government has lead to death 11 children
in the Kurnool General Hospital since the last two days. Though the former chief minister, Mr K.
Rosaiah, and his successor, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, had assured to release Rs 20 crores and fill
vacant posts in the hospitals, the State government failed to fulfill its promises so far, he added. He
demanded that the government immediately take steps to fill 350 vacant posts and release Rs 20 crores
for providing adequate facilities in the Kurnool General Hospital. While the State government was
adopting step-motherly attitude towards the government hospitals, it was encouraging corporate
hospitals in the State.
Charging the Congress with deliberately keeping silent on the decades’ old Telangana issue, Dr
Narayana demanded that the Congress high command spell its clear stand on Telangana issue. Pledging
his party’s support to the Telangana movement, he warned that the Congress would lose its base if it
failed to resolve the Telangana issue immediately.
Dr Narayana said that his party would organize week-long celebrations of Telangana Peasants’
Struggle from September 11 to 17 all over the State. He said that nine Left parties would meet on
